Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the opening of the Polyclinic in Bukit Panjang and the Senja Nursing Home have been delayed to end-2021 as announced by Singapore Health Minister Mr Gan Kim Yong.
The completion date of several public healthcare facilities will be pushed back due to the impact of COVID-19 on Singapore’s construction industry,
– said Minister for Health Mr Gan Kim Yong in a written parliamentary response on Monday (Oct 5).
He added that the delays in the completion of those infrastructure projects may have an impact in the overall capacity in the short term on Singapore’s healthcare capacity.
Mr Gan also touched on the progress of the other development of Singapore’s healthcare infrastructure projects when he was responding to questions by Member of Parliament Lim Wee Kiat.
